Kinsley's First Day of Kindergarten

Yesterday was Kinsley's first day of Kindergarten... People always told me time flies, boy does it?? I blinked and she was going to Kindergarten.

Before I know it she is going to be driving...

I had already planned to have a day with just Kinsley and I before school started (it's her favorite thing). I asked her what she wanted to do and she told me the following:
- get our nails done together
- pick out a dress for the first day
- have lunch together at the Mexican Inn
-get Sweet Frog yogurt

So, that's exactly what we did! It was so much fun.... I always enjoy time with my favorite girl.

Here are a few pictures from our girl's day....

We had so much fun at lunch and laughed a LOT!

Nails & slushies

Love this girl so much.....

Sweet Frog!

We met her teacher a few days before school started. She got Mrs. Parrish and this is them together on Meet the Teacher night. She seems really sweet.

Kinsley received this letter and star the night of Meet of Teacher. Kinsley, Beau and I opened it the night before Kindergarten. She was really excited about putting the star under her pillow. She informed me the next morning that the star really did help her sleep better (haha)!

'Twas the Night Before Kindergarten.......

The next morning everyone got up very early and got ready for the day. Kinsley had requested cinnamon rolls for breakfast, so that's what she got. She was so excited for her first day of Kindergarten. I was excited for her, but also sad to leave my heart at school.

We all took a picture before taking Kinsley to school. Bryson was still sleeping, so he's not in it.

You're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So... get on your way!

We helped her settle in, kissed her goodbye and walked out. She came back out and said, "I didn't kiss Bryson goodbye." So, she kissed him and hugged him, told him she would see him later. And I did not get a picture.. #momfail

After we left, Witten said: "It's a sad day for Kinsley...." I explained that she is happy and having fun... He told me he was actually the one sad.

She was so excited to see him and Witten after school! I FINALLY got a picture of Bryson in on our first day of school. :)

Beau and I had planned to go eat at Uncle Julio's after the first day of school, so that we could get the chocolate piñata to celebrate her first day. The kids loved it! We had fun and the piñata was really neat.

They brought the chocolate piñata out and the kids were in Ahhhh! Kinsley got to use the stick to break it open because well... it was her first day of Kindergarten!

Kinsley loved the strawberries and chocolate.

Witten loved the blackberries!

I pray this will be a great year and I am excited to see Kinsley blossom and grow. She is very independent and I think she will thrive.

And just for grins, here she is on her 2nd day this morning. She was really excited to go back... she wanted me to drop her off today, so that she could walk in all by herself. WHAT....Already??? So proud of this girl.. she is going to do great things! #classof2029

All About Witten

Today's post is all about Witten.

picture

So, I did a post all about Kinsley and today's post is dedicated to Witten.

My baby boy--I sure do miss the baby years.

I would describe Witten as: thoughtful, caring, loving, smart, sensitive, silly. Witten is one month away from turning 4.

He enjoys playing outside, collecting things (especially mini items) and bugs. He loves to swim, ride his wiggle car, find bugs, get dirty, he's loud by nature (he does not know how to whisper), rough and crazy. He loves to make people laugh will do just about anything to make that happen.

Witten can play by himself really well, but also enjoys playing with others. He is very particular in the things he does... he likes to carry things in his hands, collect any and everything... He tends to be afraid of certain things and will usually end up scaring himself. He likes to talk and talk and talk... he will ask me a million questions about certain topics.

He loves to snuggle and always want to hug and kiss me--most definitely a mama's boy. He loves Kinsley and Bryson big... he is always hugging Kinsley, tells her she's pretty, but also likes to aggravate her. He's very sweet to Bryson... he loves to hug, kiss and hold him. He calls him little bitty or Bryson bear, it's so sweet. He always tells me that Beau is his best friend, it's really sweet.

Witten is surrounded by girls and will play any and all girl things with them most of the time. He will dress up, play shopkins, but there are times he will come hang out with Beau and I when he isn't into the girl stuff. Witten can be either very easy or difficult.... there is usually no in between.

Right now, his favorites are........

All About Kinsley

Today's post is all about Kinsley.

I have decided to do a few blog entries on each one of my kiddos, so that I can look back and remember what they liked and just things I want to remember.

I can not believe Kinsley is 5 and getting ready to head to Kindergarten in just three short weeks. Here she is as a baby, ahhhh I miss that sweet baby girl!

Kinsley is really shy and quiet until you get to know her and then, she's a FIRECRACKER! She's got a big personality once you have gotten close to her. She's fun, spunky, sassy, helpful, smart, and sensitive. She's been labeled by some as an old soul. She loves playing, but also loves to have a good conversation with older people. If there is a Grandma around, she will find her and make a long conversation with her. :)
She loves hanging out with the older people.

She laughs at the silliest things, she is always prancing, skipping and dancing around. She loves her family and is very motherly to both her brothers. She loves to help when she can and is very independent. She loves all things girly: makeup, heels, fancy clothes, purses, jewelry....
She likes a little bit of clutter, is very sentimental, she loves stuffed animals. She loves animals, baking and all things fancy!

Kinsley enjoys being at home, but also likes being on the go. She enjoys a lot of different activities and "things".

Right now, her favorites are.............

Swimming

Dolls and barbies

Bike riding
(she just learned how to ride without training wheels)

Dance/Cheer

Kinsley loves quality time and lives for our "girl days". She loves getting our nails done together, having lunch together and shopping. She also loves just little bits of one on one time at home doing small things together.

This kid isn't perfect, but who is? We have our challenges and moments just like anyone else.....but her heart is so sweet and her love is strong. The good and the not so good... she's precious to us. God has big plans for her life! We adore, love and cherish this little girls so very much.

I asked Kinsley some of her favorite things right now:

Favorite Color: Purple

Favorite TV Show: Alvinnnn and Sofia the First

Favorite Movie: Pirate Fairy

Favorite Food: Chicken & Dumplings

Favorite Place to Visit: Grandma's

Favorite Book: Mia and the Too Big Tutu

Favorite thing about Mommy: When you read Mia and the Too Big Tutu in a funny way & when you take us to the pool.

Favorite thing about Daddy: When he takes us to Costco and we get samples & when he plays with us.
Favorite thing about Witten: When we are nice to each other and play together.

Favorite thing about Bryson: When he's smiling really big.

What's one word that describes you the best: Pretty

This girl made me a mama and I love nothing more than being her mommy.
